Plugins

Plugins form the heartbeat of most music and audio workflows today.

MuseHub can distribute plugins, installing native VST3, Audio Unit (AU) and AAX bundles directly, or any plugin format contained within a .pkg or a Windows installer (.msi, .msix, .exe).

Zip each plugin bundle and upload the zips to the Partner Portal, keeping the original extension before .zip: MyPlugin.vst3.zip, MyPlugin.component.zip, MyPlugin.aaxplugin.zip. Zipping preserves symlinks and file properties that can be lost when uploading a bundle through a web browser, and the original extension lets the Partner Portal recognise the asset type. MuseHub will download and install each format to the user's chosen installation folder (if it differs from the default location), so no installer is needed.

If your plugin requires additional content or dependencies, bundle everything within an installer. On macOS, use a single .pkg holding all your plugin formats: several PKGs are not accepted, and DMG is not accepted.
