Content Guidelines

The guidelines create a safe and successful environment for developers and customers.

At Muse Hub, we believe in a fair and open marketplace where every developer in the music and audio space can thrive. Our platform is dedicated to providing equal opportunities, fostering creativity, and ensuring that the best tools and content reach the hands of those who need them.

We aim to make Muse Hub a secure place where customers can trust the high quality of the products they receive.

To ensure the best experience for our users, all submissions must adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Relevance to Music and Audio

  • Direct Relation: All submitted products must be directly related to the music and/or audio sector.

2. Originality and Ownership

  • Original Works: Submissions must be original works owned by the developer or legally licensed for distribution.

  • Copyright Compliance: Products must not contain or endorse any form of copyright infringement, including unauthorized use of copyrighted music, samples, or software.

3. Quality Standards

  • High-Quality Standards: Products should meet high-quality standards in functionality, usability, and user experience.

  • Thorough Testing: Submissions should be thoroughly tested to ensure they are free from bugs and other issues.

4. Documentation and Support

  • Clear Documentation: Developers must provide clear and comprehensive documentation for their products.

  • Adequate Support: Adequate support channels must be available for users to address any issues or questions.

5. Safety

At Muse Hub, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our users. Content must be safe, non-offensive, and non-harmful.

6. Objectionable Content

  • No Offensive Material: Content must not include offensive, insensitive, or upsetting material.

  • No Defamatory or Discriminatory Content: Content must not contain defamatory, discriminatory, or mean-spirited material regarding religion, race, sexual orientation, gender, national/ethnic origin, or other targeted groups.

  • No False Information: Content must not include false information or misleading features.

  • No Exploitation of Current Events: Content must not capitalize on or profit from recent or current events like violent conflicts, terrorist attacks, or epidemics.

7. Developer Information

  • Contact Information: Ensure users have a reliable way to contact developers for questions and support issues.

  • Accuracy: Always include accurate and up-to-date contact information.

8. Data Security

  • Security Measures: Implement appropriate security measures to protect user information.

  • Prevent Unauthorized Use: Prevent unauthorized use, disclosure, or access to user information by third parties.

9. Accurate Metadata

  • Transparency: Ensure all metadata, including privacy information, descriptions, screenshots, and previews, accurately reflect the core experience.

  • No Hidden Features: Do not include hidden, dormant, or undocumented features.

  • Honesty: Egregious or repeated dishonest behavior will result in removal from Muse Hub.

  • Screenshot and Preview Requirements: Screenshots should depict the app in use and previews should help customers understand what they are getting.

10. Completeness and Consistency

  • Complete Submissions: Content submitted must be complete and deliverable as submitted.

  • Describing Changes: Clearly describe new features and product changes in the "Whatโ€™s New" section.

Additional Guidelines for App Behavior and Distribution

  • User Consent: Apps may not auto-launch or run code at startup or login without user consent and should not add icons to the Dock or leave shortcuts on the desktop without consent.

  • No Additional Code: Apps may not download or install additional code or resources that significantly change the app from what was reviewed.

  • License and Copy Protection: Apps must not present a license screen at launch, require license keys, or redirect users to purchase or obtain a license from a third-party source.

  • Update Mechanisms: Future updates of products integrating Muse DRM or the Muse SDK must not compromise the integrity or remove the DRM or SDK solutions from the code.

  • Compatibility: Apps must run on at least currently shipping operating systems, and not use deprecated or optionally installed technologies.

By following these guidelines, you help ensure that Muse Hub remains a user-friendly and reliable platform for all content creators and users.
