Add Details

Adding product details as metadata is crucial for customers to be able to search understand and find your app.

The general tab is where you can fill out the persistent information for your product

  • Name: this should be the name of your product, in its shortest form

  • Subtitle: A short "strapline" that summarises the product in 50 characters or less. This subtitle is used when featuring your product on larger product card styles in the UI. E.g "Classic drum sounds from the future."

  • Short description: This appears as a collapsible header at the top of the product page. Try and keep this to around 350 characters or three or four lines of text.

  • Category: Choose a category that best fits your Plug-In type. This is used to categoriseyour plug-in within the Hub and allow the customer to filter or display results by category.

  • Icon: Upload a JPG or PNG file of your Plug-In's icon. Think of this as the icon that is used the macOS dock or Windows taskbar. The ideal size is a 300 x 300px square JPG. Avoid adding ornaments like rounded corners or lots of text.

  • Cover Image (optional): This image will be displayed inside the header on the product page. This image shouldn't have any noisy or busy elements; and shouldn't contain any text. It will be placed behind the short description text. It shouldn't be a screenshot of your product. Unless you have a specific background asset, you should leave this empty.

  • SKU (optional): This SKU is for internal use only, and isn't displayed anywhere on the product page. It can be references from the Muse SDK.

  • Product Website: Provide a direct link to the specific product page on your website. Make sure the link goes directly to the product details, not the main homepage.

  • Keywords: Enter comma separated keywords to improve Muse Hub's internal search results. These keywords complement other ranking factors like product description, title, and subtitle.
